Buckingham Vinters opens Australian office

Buckingham Vintners is pleased to announce the establishment of Buckingham Vintners Australia. The Australian office is being managed by leading winemaker Simon Adams, who will concentrate on sourcing wine for the Buckingham Estate brand and creating bespoke products for Buckingham Vintners’ customers.

Simon is a highly experienced winemaker and was recently Chief Winemaker at Cellarmaster’s Wine Estate (part of the FGL Wine Estates Group). Prior to this he was Chief Winemaker at Yalumba. He has won over 60 trophies and almost 200 gold medals with his portfolio of wines.

Australian wine accounts for almost one quarter of the UK market and is now a key focus for Buckingham Vintners.

Cliff Roberson, Chairman at Buckingham Vintners, comments; “We have a strong relationship with Simon that has been built up over many years and he has superb commercial winemaking skills. Opening an Australian office in the Barossa provides a unique advantage for Buckingham Vintners in having an independent person on the ground, seeking out the best quality wines at the most competitive prices.”

Simon concludes; “It is a pleasure to be able to continue working with the ambitious and quirky Buckingham Vintners team, after my involvement in supplying wines to them whilst at Cellarmaster.“
