Innovation drives growth for Buckingham Vintners

Buckingham Vintners is delighted to present an exciting range of innovative new products at the 2006 LIWSF, with a major brand relaunch, extensions to our most popular ranges, and some entirely new brands.  We also have a number of new team members in place to ensure that we continue to offer the highly personalised level of service to our customers which has become our hallmark.

BUCKINGHAM ESTATE
“The Sophisticated Australian” has had a highly successful first year, building a good consumer franchise as the accessible but premium Australian brand which is perfect for that special occasion.  Buckingham Vintners is excited to announce the launch of a range of iconic new varietals at this year’s fair. A strategic marketing and PR campaign is in place to support and develop the brand in 2006, the key elements of which will also be on show at Excel.
Cliff Roberson, Chairman at Buckingham Vintners comments; “Since the new range of Buckingham Estate was launched at the LIWSF last year, we are pleased to have gained listings in both Asda and Morrisons.  Plans are afoot to introduce the brand throughout Europe via our associate company Schenk. We are also delighted to announce that we have employed well known Australian winemaker Simon Adams who is based in the Barossa Valley, in order to maintain the best quality wines and oversee our commercial interests.”

SAN PEDRO
2006 sees increased commitment to the UK from San Pedro, who will be revealing a complete re-launch of 35˚ South at this year’s fair.  The new positioning focuses on the 35˚ South latitude, with its lifestyle associations and ideal climate for viticulture. Buckingham Vintners will also be showcasing the new look for San Pedro’s premium brand, Castillo de Molina, alongside GatoNegro – “It’s all happening!”

NEW PRODUCTS
Following hot on the success of Buckingham Estate, Buckingham Vintners will be launching two exciting new umbrella brands from Italy and Australia at the fair, offering a high quality and flexible range of products which can be tailored to the specific needs of our individual customers to offer a bespoke branded solution for their consumers.

BODEGAS MURVIEDRO
Santerra remains the firm focus for Bodegas Murviedro in the UK and the range has recently been extended to include more indigenous grape varieties – such as Bobal Blanc – all of which will be on show. Buckingham Vintners strongly believes in this brand which clearly showcases Murviedro’s position at the forefront of Spanish wine-making innovation and as a champion of Spanish grape varieties.

VIÑA TABALÍ
Viña Tabalí will be showing the full range of award winning wines at this year’s fair including the recently launched Tabalí Reserva Especial Pinot Noir and Tabalí Late Harvest Moscatel. The winery has seen remarkable success since its launch in 2004 and Buckingham Vintners continues to support the winery within the UK as they look to develop further distribution in the premium retail and independent sectors.

Graham Sumeray, MD at Buckingham Vintners concludes; “We’ve got some cracking new ideas which we’ll be showing selectively at the fair, demonstrating the importance we attach to innovation in order to give customers and consumers what they want.”
