BUCKINGHAM ESTATE – THE SOPHISTICATED AUSTRALIAN
Following on from Buckingham Estate’s successful January UK launch, Buckingham Vintners will be creating a stir with the launch of seven new wines to complement the Reserve Shiraz. The Buckingham Estate range will comprise:

Reserve Shiraz & Reserve Chardonnay (RSP £7.99)
Single Varietals (RSP £5.99)
Crown Duals ( RSP £4.99)

Cliff Roberson, Chairman of BVI comments: “We are well chuffed with the positive response by the trade, press and consumers to Buckingham Estate. Successful sales of the inaugural Reserve Shiraz prove that this style of wine has found its place in the market and has encouraged us to extend the line to offer an interesting choice of quality Australian wines. Correct sourcing and blending is crucial to ensure these new wines continue to over deliver at all levels. We will be ratcheting up the marketing and promotional campaign to support our new venture.”

BODEGAS MURVIEDRO – SANTERRA GLOBAL SUCCESS STORY
Bodegas Murviedro’s commitment to the UK is paying dividends as sales of the flagship Santerra brand have increased by 20% year on year. The Spanish winery exports Santerra to a further 8 countries including Germany and the Benelux countries and are delighted to report new UK listings. The London show sees the debut of:

Santerra Bobal Crianza 2003 (RSP £5.99) -100% Bobal premium wine (9 months oak aged).
Super-Sized Santerra – the two new formats - a three-litre bag in box and 25 cl bottles - for the popular Tempranillo and Dry Muscat Santerra varietals will also be on show.
San Pedro – 35 South – Steady Increase In Uk Market Share

Recent AC Nielsen reports reveal continued growth for 35 South in both volume and value in the multiple grocer sector, now currently holding approx 8% share of the Chilean branded market. Ranking Number 25 in the country’s Top 50 wine brands, Buckingham Vintners and San Pedro anticipate further penetration. 2005 sees continued commitment to UK with a full PR and marketing campaign and this year 35 South is a proud sponsor of the fundraising Snowball supporting the all-female expedition to the North Pole (further info available at: www.pinkladypolecats.com).

GATO – IMAGE MAKEOVER
San Pedro’s global GatoNegro brand has recently received the benefit of an image enhancement with a label redesign. GatoNegro performs well worldwide and the new look bottle will be presented to the trade at this year’s show.

TABALI DOES THE DOUBLE
Tabali Shiraz Reserve was awarded a Gold Medal for the second consecutive year at the 2005 Annual Wines of Chile Award, held in Santiago in January. Winemaker Yanira Maldonado comments: “This gold medal supports our conviction that the Limari Valley, the northernmost winemaking and grape-growing valley of Chile, is a genuinely exceptional area for the production of premium and super premium wines.” Completion of the new winery will be ready for the 2005 vintage. The winery is looking to develop contacts and further distribution in the on-trade as well as maintaining marketing support in the retail sector.

Cliff Roberson concludes: “This is an exciting time for the company, with the appointment of a New Managing Director Graham Sumeray, we will continue to expand and build our partner brands including 35 South and Santerra and roll out our own Buckingham Estate brand.” - ends -
